Castle, Disco and Beach

Yesterday, they had a really good time visiting Norwich castle and at night going to the disco.
Today, they went to another town with a beach. There they could see how they make rock, a typical sweet in this area.
Everybody had a really good time at the disco and they asked me to go again next week, so we are going. Armin y Sergio fueron los reyes de la pista, Raúl y Alejandro estuvieron viendo el partido España-Portugal y las chicas y Alberto estuvieron pasandoselo en grande bailando, Alberto bailó con una chica italiana. We'll see next week.

A TRIP TO LONDON

Here they are in London, Where they had a really good time. They went to visit the Parliament, Buckingham Palace... When they finished the Tour around the city, they had some free time to do some shopping in Piccadilly and in Covent Garden Market. Aquí algunos estudiantes como Bianca, Alberto, Gabriella, Ana y Reyes entraron en algunas tiendas y compraron algunas cosillas. El resto sólo estuvieron paseando pero se lo pasaron en grande.

These days after the classes, they had really good activities for them. Yesterday they went to the cinema to see "Killers". When the film finished Bianca, Reyes, Gabriela, Alberto, Alejandro and Ana told me that they really understood the film and also they liked it, so they were really proud of themselves "muy orgullosos de si mismos". Today they went roller skating where everybody had a great time skating and some of them such as Armin, Ana, Reyes or Raúl, were really good at it. Alberto was trying to do it and he also was trying not to fall down. Hoy hemos visto a una parte de los chicos en una de las clases exponiendo un trabajo en inglés acerca del medio ambiente y tengo que decir que tanto Armin, Alejandro, Raúl y Sergio fueron los mejores de su clase. They are really improving their English.

Here they are!!!!! Ready to catchthe bus to go to the beach. But before this, they went to class, where I spoke with some of the teachers. John, who is the teacher that they really like, told me that Gabriela, Alberto, Ana, Bianca and Reyes are having a great time in class. Also he told me that they are making a big effort to learn the hardest things in English like the passive. That was because Alberto told him that their parents are spending lots of money to go on this trip so they want to improve their English as much as they can.
John said that they are going to be able to improve their English, and they are going to have a very good level of English after three weeks because he is pushing them to do so. After this they had a great time at the beach where we went for a half-day excursion. There Armin was really nice to a Russian boy who is there on his own. Armin is a great child. A little bit crazy but a good child. I think he is the leader of the group. Raúl is trying so hard to speak to me in English, as is Alberto, the four girls and Alejandro too.

Sergio is a really good boy. He wants to play with the French students, and he likes Armin as much everybody else. All of them are very nice to the Russian boy but Armin is just amazing with him. Alberto is really good if he doesn't want to play any games, he just sits down with me or Lisi, an English leader or the French leader and tries to speak English with all of us.
Bianca is a really good girl, I mean, she is always speaking in English and she is really good at writing. She is the only one that is writing more than 100 words in her diary. She is making friends with the French group and that is nice because she is speaking English all the time.

All of them are just amazing, they are always on time at school and at home. I hope they continue that way.

Sports day

Today was a really busy day. In the morning everybody was on time for their classes to meet their new partners for the next few weeks. Also, I need to tell everybody that one of the teachers told me that the four girls are very good at English they did very well on the test.

So today was the first day of class for them and they had a really good time. After the classes and lunch, they went to the library to check their emails and to wait until it was time to go to the Park.


After that everybody got on the bus with the French group to go to the Park. That's where the pictures are from.
There they were playing football with the French students and also they played cards, and they practiced a lot of English not only with me, also with the French students and an English teacher. They really had a great time!!!!


When we finished at the Park, everybody got on the bus again to go to the city centre, and as we got there early, they had some free time so they went to Starbucks, and at 5 pm all of them took the bus to go back to their Host Families.

First day of class

Hi everyone;

Here is the first picture with the group at the entrance of the school, where they did a test. For some people it was easy and they got good marks and for the others not quite as good! After the test we all had lunch together and had a little chat about their tests and the first class.
In the afternoon we had a good walk around the centre of Norwich, and this was funny because even though they are really young they were too tired to walk.

After this Orientation Tour they had some free time before going home, so they went to starbucks to have a sit and drink something. And finally at 5 pm they took the bus and went home for dinner.

Sunday

Hi again;

Today and after our first breakfast in Norwich, I met some of my students at the Forum. I mean some beacuse two of the families had something special with the students to do, or they thought that it wasn't true because it wasn't on the program. But the thing is, they came to the Forum and they told me that they were having a good time in their Host families. Also, it is so funny the way they call the parents of their families "mummy or daddy".

At the Forum we were talking about their families and if they are happy with them or not or if they could understand them. And everybody agrees, The families are fantastic and they can understand them very well.The best part for them was dinner because some of them had pizza or hamburgers . These are the kind of things that they like.

After this little chat we were walking a little bit trying to find where the school is and looking around what they have in the city.

Now they know how to get to the School and where the school is, something very important because tomorrow morning they should go to do the test. And also they told me that they are very excited because we are going to have two trips to London.

After that visit to the city centre and our brief meeting they went home because their families came to pick them up and went to have fun with them.

We'll see what happen tomorrow!!!!

The Journey and the first sunday

Hi everyone;
Yesterday we had our journey to Norwich;It was a good journey and all the students were well behaved, I'm really happy with them. When we arrived at the airport we had a bus waiting for us to go to Norwich. We took the bus and it took us about 2 hours more or less to get to Norwich.
At Norwich all the families where waiting for us and everybody was really excited about it. Finally they got into their new houses and they had dinner.
